IRIS is partner in a project commissioned by the Ministry for Economy and Social Affairs of the Free State of Saxony. Together with the University of Hildesheim and IRIS e.V. Vocational guidance in Saxony IRIS is in charge of three case studies on European systems of vocational guidance. The overall objective of the study is to approve the cooperation between the education system and the business world in the Land of Saxony. Der neue IRIS Newsletter 2/2007 beschäftigt sich mit den Übergängen in Elternschaft. Das Thema der Familiengründung knüpft in vielfacher Hinsicht an die Übergangsforschung von IRIS an: Zum einen wird in ihm einmal mehr deutlich, wie stark sich die unterschiedlichen Lebensthemen, mit denen junge Frauen und Männer im Übergang sind, überlagern. Gerade bei jüngeren Eltern treten diese verschiedenen Übergänge häufig in Widerspruch zueinander: Ausbildung und Berufseinmündung verkomplizieren sich; die Verselbständigung von Elternhaus muss entweder aufgeschoben werden oder wird erst recht nötig, …
